Welcome Back!

I'm so excited for the new school year!  Here are a couple reminders for the beginning of the year:

- Have your 1/2" 3 Ring Binders by this Friday, Sept 8
- Choir Bios are Due Friday, Sept 8 as well
- Signed Syllabuses for Jr. Choir, Sr. Choir, and Choir Skills are Due Friday, Sept 15
- All singers are to wear all black to concerts.  Get your concert dress now and not have to worry about it later!

Elementary Spring Program

On Friday, May 19th, Parkers Prairie Elementary School will be holding our Spring Program at 1:00 pm in the large gym.  All are welcome to attend!

The Elementary Band will be performing first, followed by the 4th and 5th Grade performance of Annie Jr. and the 1st through 3rd Grade performance of BUGZ.

Vocal Solo/Ensemble Contest

Congratulations to all our student musicians who participated in the MSHSL Sub Section Solo/Ensemble Contest held at Parkers Prairie High School on April 5th.

Celebrating Youth Musicians Festival

On April 8th, 2017, select 5th and 6th graders attending the Minnesota Music Educators Association Celebrating Youth Musicians Festival at Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted High School.  Students spent several weeks preparing four music selections to perform with students from eight other schools under the direction of guest conductor Kayla Noble, Music Specialist at Lincoln Elementary in Alexandria, MN.  Students participated in mass rehearsals and break out sessions throughout the day, including: voice part sectionals, folk dancing, drama activities, and garbage drumming.  The day culminated with a public performance.
